Text [T input size Hor/Vert Invert/Normal]
Text may be input directly from the keyboard or from a text file on disk. The
text file must have an extension: .GTT Use the built-in text editor (FCT
command in the Graph program or GT in Draw) or any ASCII editor.
The last line of the file must be blank (Just <RTN><LF>).
(Twelve graphics symbols can also be displayed: CTRL/N to CTRL/Z).
Size:
Four sizes are available.
Select: Normal, High, Wide, Both (high and wide) or Double.
Horizontal/Vertical:
Select: [H]orizontal or Vertical. Text may be typed horizontally or
vertically (Bottom to top).
Invert/Normal video: Inverted video displays black on coloured background.
Location:
Use the eight cursor direction keys (number key pad) to locate text.
The default increment is set to 9 or 10 (depending on character size).
By using the ALT/number facility, the increment may be temporarily
altered to finely adjust the start point of the next letter. (Use
cursor keys.) ("number" is 1 to 9) When a letter is typed,
the increment returns to 8 or 9.
Example:
Locate cursor at the lower left of the first character.
Type: T then K (Keyboard input), N (normal size), H (horizontal text)
and N (normal video).
A dot indicates the start position of the next letter.
(In the case of vertical text, the cursor will be at the lower right
of the first character.)
Type in the text string and end each line with a <RTN>
When all text has been entered, press Esc to return to the DRAW menu.
Notes:
1. The Backspace key is used to rubout the last character entered.
(Don't use the Del or cursor left-arrow key for this.)
2. The default values are obtained by pressing <RTN> key to each
question. The defaults are: Keyboard, Normal, Horizontal, Normal.)
3. The cursor keys can be used any time in text mode
to relocate the dot-cursor for the next character. The
increment is fixed at the character size selected, (9 or 10),
unless ALT/number is used.
4. If the text reaches the edge of the screen, the next character
will wrap to the next line. (Both horizontal and vertical.)
5. The joystick or mouse (if selected) is temporarily disabled
when entering text.
Text from disk file: (Any ASCII text with filename: name.GTT)
When loading text from a disk file, position the cursor dot at the
top left (first) character position following the command sequence:
TF<filename><RTN><size><rotation><video><RTN>.
